For nearly half a decade, JAPFA has shown its existence and vast development, starting way back from its initial product, copra pellet, to its current tranformation as one of the biggest and most integrated poultry-processing manufacturers in Indonesia. This long journey can be traced back to the road of historic milestones; from the transformation to a public company, the acquisition strategy, to the integration process; that the Company has gradually paved over the years. We are, therefore, proud to present to you the crucial milestones JAPFA has marked from 1971 until now.

PT Java Pelletizing Factory, Ltd was established in January 18, 1971 as a 50 - 50 venture between PT Perusahaan Dagang & Industri Ometraco and International Graanhandel Thegra NV of the Netherlands which mainly engaged in commercial production of copra pellets.   Commenced poultry feed business operations.   Commenced poultry breeding operations to complement feed business.   Listed on the Jakarta and Surabaya Stock Exchanges as an expansion plan.   PT Java Pelletizing Factory Ltd transformed into PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia.   Acquired poultry breeding and processing business (PT Multibreeder Adirama Indonesia and PT Ciomas Adisatwa) as well as shrimp pond and shrimp processing facilities (Suri Tani Pemuka).   PT Multibreeder Adirama Indonesia, Tbk, one of the Company’s subsidiaries, listed its shares on the Jakarta and Surabaya Stock Exhanges.   Regional expansion initiative started with establishment of new feedmill.   Acquired PT Hidon, a company operating in hatchery and breeding farm business through PT Multibreeder Adirama Indonesia Tbk. In addition, JAPFA raised Rp500 billion in its first Rupiah bond issuance.   January 15 : Acquired PT Santosa Agrindo, the largest beef cattle feedlot operator in South East Asia on January 15. On September 3, one of its subsidiaries, PT Ciomas Adisatwa, acquired PT Vaksindo Satwa Nusantara, a company that produces poultry and animal vaccines.   On December 1, merged with PT Multi Agro Persada (MAP) Tbk, a producer and distributor of animal feed.   Retained its strategic focuson agribusiness by increasing its production capacity through the establishment of new production facilities- comprising of feed units in Grobogan (Central Java) and Purwakarta (West Java), DOC production facilities in Grati (East Java) and Pontianak (West Kalimantan), newfacilities for hatching eggs in Sukabumi (West Java) and Kediri (East Java) andacquisition of commercial poultry farmcompanies. Furthermore, JAPFA also divested its shares in PT So GoodFood.   Effective since July 1, merged with PT Multibreeder Adirama Indonesia Tbk (MBAI), a subsidiary of the Company, and also with PT Multiphala Adiputra (MPA) and PT Hidon (HIDON), a subsidiary of MBAI, as part of the strategy to focus on agribusiness. JAPFA issued the first bond (in USD) which raised $225 billion.   Acquired beef cattle breeding farms, namely Riveren and Interway Station, Australia.
