APRESIASI KARYA JURNALISTIK JAPFA (AKJJ) 2026

Brief Overview                           
AKJJ 2026 is a journalistic writing and photo competition open to media professionals from across Indonesia. Carrying the theme “18 Years of JAPFA for Kids: Collaboration for the Nation’s Future Generation – From Data and Facts to Stories from the Field”, AKJJ 2026 is expected to serve not only as an appreciation platform but also as a strategic collaboration platform between the business sector, media, and experts in expanding the impact of public education. By highlighting JAPFA’s contributions through the JAPFA for Kids program, the competition aims to encourage the creation of journalistic works that are informative, inspiring, and impactful for society.

Participant Requirements

• Journalists from local and national media who has a valid press card or a letter of employment verification.  
• The media institution where the journalist works must have legal status and be a registered legal entity. 
• Participants must be Indonesian citizens and attach a valid ID card (KTP).

Competition Mechanism 

• AKJJ is open exclusively to journalists from print and online media.
• For each category, participants may submit more than one article that has been published in print or online media.
• Publication period for articles: August 14, 2025 – August 14, 2026, in both print and online media.
• Articles must be current, original works and must not be plagiarized, translated, adapted, edited compilations, summaries, or similar works.
• Submitted articles must not have been or currently be participating in similar competitions.
• The organizer shall not be held liable for any third-party claims related to submitted works.
• Articles must not contain elements of discrimination, harassment, or insults related to ethnicity, religion, race, or intergroup relations (SARA).
• Participants must complete registration and submit their works no later than August 15, 2026, at 23:59 WIB via the following Google Form link: AKJJ 2026.
• By registering and submitting articles to the committee, participants agree to all terms and conditions of the competition, both current and future provisions determined by the organizer.
• The organizer’s decisions are final and cannot be contested.
• JAPFA reserves the right to publish winning works with proper source attribution.

Submission Guideline:

• Printed news
  • Works must be submitted in PDF format along with proof of publication in print media.
  • File name format: AKJJ 2026_Your Name_Article Title
  • Submission must be made through the Google Form link: AKJJ 2026.
• Online news
  • Works must be submitted in PDF format along with proof of publication in online media (link or screenshot/photo of publication)
  • Submission must be made through the Google Form link: AKJJ 2026.
• Photo news
  • Submission must be made through the Google Form: AKJJ 2026.
  • Photo files must also be submitted in softcopy format (jpeg/jpg) via email to [email protected]
  • Maximum file size: 2 MB with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. If the file exceeds 2 MB, participants must provide a Google Drive link.
  • Submitted photo works must include a photo title and caption/story description.
  • Email submissions should be sent to [email protected] with the subject line: AKJJ 2026_Your Name_Photo Title

  • Compliance with journalistic principles (objectivity, balance, accuracy, and factual reporting)
  • Relevance to the theme and mastery of the content
  • Originality.
  • Delivery style (easy to understand, effective, and able to create a positive and inspiring impression)
  • Depth of content, including level of difficulty and in-depth research
• Photo news
  • Relevance to the theme, caption, or photo title
  • Creativity
  • Objectivity and accuracy

Winner Prizes (Each Category) 

• 1st Winner : Rp 20.000.000,-
• 2nd Winner : Rp 15.000.000,-
• 3rd Winner : Rp 12.000.000,-
• Consolation prizes for 5 selected finalists: Rp 1.000.000,-
