JAPFA, the Ministry of Social Affairs, and the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs Collaborate to Advance Smallholder Farmer Independence
Serang, February 24, 2026 - PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA) supports a smallholder farmer empowerment program initiated by the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemensos) and the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkop) through the provision of layer chicken business packages for Beneficiary Families (Keluarga Penerima Manfaat / KPM).
The program, which has been implemented in Purworejo and Serang, includes the provision of poultry housing, ready-to-lay hens, initial feed, and technical assistance through to the harvest period. As a government partner, JAPFA is committed to delivering education and training to KPM, enabling them to independently manage their businesses—from poultry husbandry techniques and animal health to overall business management.
The resulting egg production is expected to be absorbed by local village cooperatives, thereby strengthening local economies and improving community access to nutritious animal-based protein sources.
