03 March 2026

Jakarta, March 3 2026 - PT Japfa Food Indonesia (JAPFA Food), the downstream business unit of JAPFA, has once again exported OLAGUD Ready-to-Eat (RTE) products to Singapore. This shipment forms part of a routine export program for processed poultry products manufactured domestically. On this occasion, the export was officially flagged off by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. H. Andi Amran Sulaiman, as a demonstration of support for enhancing the global competitiveness of Indonesia’s poultry products.

The continued export of poultry products also reflects the resilience of Indonesia’s national poultry sector. Currently, Indonesia has achieved self-sufficiency in meeting domestic poultry demand. Moreover, sustained production capacity and stringent quality control systems have enabled the country to expand its export markets to meet regional demand, in line with efforts to strengthen national food security.

During the export flag-off event at the Ministry of Agriculture, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, who also serves as Head of the National Food Agency, Andi Amran Sulaiman, emphasized that Indonesia has achieved self-sufficiency in poultry production and possesses strong production capacity. He further highlighted that the success of these exports serves as clear evidence that Indonesia does not depend on imported chicken products. “We want to demonstrate to the world that Indonesia is already strong. Our poultry production is more than sufficient. We do not need to import chicken, including from the United States. We have an abundant supply,” he stated.

In the same occasion, the Director General of Livestock and Animal Health, Agung Suganda, stated that the increase in exports has been supported by the strengthening of animal health systems and international certification. “Every product exported has undergone veterinary certification processes and strict supervision in accordance with the requirements of the destination country. We ensure that aspects of traceability, biosecurity, and food safety are fully met to sustain export continuity,” said Agung.

Meanwhile, Rachmat Indrajaya, Director of Corporate Affairs at JAPFA, stated, “This export represents a continuation of previous shipments, as well as a strategic step by the company to expand international market penetration for value-added downstream products. Through the strengthening of our downstream business lines, JAPFA consistently develops a portfolio of ready-to-eat products that are competitive and aligned with global consumer needs.”

Through synergy across production, monitoring, and certification processes, value-added processed products made from domestic raw materials can continue to be introduced to various international markets, in line with collective efforts to advance Indonesia’s food industry on the global stage.

OLAGUD RTE products consist of ready-to-eat chicken breast fillets designed to meet consumer demand for high-protein, healthy snacks. These products are manufactured using certified systems that comply with food safety standards and animal health requirements established by the destination countries’ export regulations.

Available in a wide range of flavors for chicken breast and sausages, including Himalayan Pink Salt, Herbs, Miso Shoyu, Peri-Peri, Smokey, Hainanese, Honey Chicken Sausage, and Smokey Chicken Sausage. The products are developed based on research into Singaporean consumer preferences. Flavor innovation, consistent quality, and stringent quality control remain JAPFA’s primary focus in building trust within international markets.
