Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, JAPFA Reduces Feed Prices to Support Poultry Industry Stability

Jakarta, March 6, 2026 - PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA) has once again reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the stability of the national poultry sector by reducing the price of animal feed. This initiative aims to help lower farmers’ production costs while maintaining stable poultry product prices ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Dr. drh. Agung Suganda, M.Si., Director General of Livestock and Animal Health at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia stated, “The downward trend in feed prices is a positive development for the national poultry sector. Price adjustments at the industry level are expected to help reduce farmers’ production costs, thereby improving efficiency and maintaining the stability of livestock product prices in the market,” said Agung.

In line with this, Arif Widjaja, COO Poultry JAPFA, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting government efforts to maintain stability in the poultry industry. “As part of our commitment to safeguarding both consumers and domestic farmers, we have made adjustments by reducing feed prices. We hope this measure will help farmers improve operational efficiency while ensuring the continued availability of poultry supply, enabling the public to access poultry products at more stable prices, particularly ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday,” said Arif.

JAPFA also continues to coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture to periodically adjust prices in order to support farmers’ production efficiency, so that downstream livestock products can ultimately be made available to the public at affordable prices. “This effort is expected to provide room for farmers to maintain production costs, particularly during periods when demand for chicken meat typically increases, such as during major religious holidays,” Arif added.

Through this initiative, JAPFA aims to contribute to maintaining a balance between the sustainability of farmers’ businesses, the stability of the poultry industry, and the affordability of poultry products for the public during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
