Malang, 20 November 2025 – PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA), through its subsidiary PT Ciomas Adisatwa (Ciomas), signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Merah Putih Cooperative, which is fostered by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkop), in support of the development of the Merah Putih Village/Subdistrict Cooperatives (KDKMP). This collaboration is carried out through partnership programs and capacity-building initiatives for KDKMP members. The signing was part of the agenda of the Merah Putih KDKMP Partnership Forum held at Harris Hotel & Convention Malang.

This collaboration represents an important step in strengthening the economic self-reliance of rural communities by providing access to food products that are more affordable and of assured quality. Rachmat Indrajaya, Director of JAPFA, stated that prices of necessities at the village level are often uncompetitive due to long distribution chains. “As a national company, JAPFA is committed to supporting the successful implementation of the government’s strategic programs. Moreover, we have an operational network that reaches various regions across Indonesia. We are ready to provide guidance and assistance related to supply management, product information, product handling, as well as distribution and marketing operations, so that cooperatives can grow professionally and sustainably,” said Rachmat.

He further added, “This cooperation also opens opportunities for other partnership programs, including the development of community-based broiler and layer poultry farming. KDKMP has great potential to create markets capable of absorbing local livestock production, thereby building a more productive rural economic ecosystem.”

With an extensive operational network spread across almost all regions of Indonesia, JAPFA is ready to support the government in ensuring the availability of high-quality, safe, and affordable animal protein products for all cooperative members. JAPFA plans to partner with 1,000 basic food stores (Toko Sembako) under the Merah Putih Cooperative Program by the first quarter of 2026, with the number expected to continue growing through the end of 2026.

Through this cooperation, JAPFA hopes to contribute to strengthening the national food distribution ecosystem and improving the welfare of rural communities.
